Weekend in Boston
My husband and I just got back from a quickie trip into Boston for his birthday. Yes, we live close but never go to the city so in short we both haven’t been to town for a few years now. We drove in and sat in a lot of traffic as expected. Stayed in traffic as we went and did a bit of driving sightseeing before we parked it at Faneuil Hall, luckily for us I have staff that works there and can park us for free but if you have to pay their are two garages right there for you. We did our walk through and enjoyed people watching then made our way across the street to get a drink and app for lunch at Not Your Average Joe’s. Sat outside and enjoyed the sun and people watching again minus the people who would stop and chat right were we were sitting.
Next, we got back in the car and headed to the hotel. We stayed at the Colonnade Hotel. It was expensive and didn’t meet my luxury need but we wanted to be near Prudential and our dinner reservations. Some other hotels where I have stayed and liked much more would be the Marriott on the Water, Lenox is amazing, The Weston, Hyatt Place and really there are many more but those are my go to’s. Also, when you book, the room price might be great but the City of Boston taxes the buns out of hotels and they pass that on to you so know your numbers if you are on a budget. I will also add the parking, $60 to park at the garage in the Colonnade but the Prudential parking overnight is approximately $40 big difference especially for more than one night.
